As we discussed in the May 2010 & September 2010 editions of LG "Debits & Credits", the Victorian Auditor General's Office has recently finished conducting a performance review into The Setting of Fees & Charges by Local Government in Victoria which can be downloaded from:

As well, the UK Audit Commission did a similar review of UK Councils back in 1999 called "The Price is Right - Setting Fees & Charges in Local Government" which is a reallly good read & is available here:
